A day in the life of me

According to the blog point challenge here is what today had in store for me.

At the lovely hour of 5:45 a.m. I woke up to the sound of the alarm. After turning off the alarm and rolling out of bed I made my way downstairs. Upon finally making it down to the lower level of our home I turned on the light above the stove. Now came one of the most important decisions I made today, what shall I eat for breakfast. I came to the conclusion that I should eat the last Twinkie.

Now, with Twinkie in hand I made my way to the blue couch. During that trip I turned on the ceiling fan and then sat/layed on the blue wonder. Mmmm, that Twinkie was good I think I'll sit here for a bit before getting ready for work. Well, that was dumb, I fell asleep for a spell. I hop off the blue wonder since I slept a little too long.

Now I have to take that long walk up to the second level of our home to the bathroom. Upon entering the bathroom I do various things to make myself presentable to the outside world. After leaving the bathroom I put my clothes on and say goodbye to my very sleepy wife. So, now it's back downstairs with me to make my lunch, get my water, and go get into the car for my twenty to twenty-five minute drive to work.

Here I am at work in my office, I grab my coffee cup, head to the kitchen area and get that first cup of joe. Ahh, that's some good coffee, and now on with my day. I do some drawing work, O&M manuals (Operations & Maintenance), and share in banter with co-workers for the morning hours.

Lunch time was filled with food and fun viewing pleasure. I had Kimmy's BBQ chicken pizza which got two compliments, and we started to watch Blazing Saddles. The afternoon was filled with more drawing work combined with hydraulic calculations.

Ahh, it's now 4:30 p.m. time to go home. Sweet! I drive home and try to decide what's for dinner tonight. We decided to go to Pantera Bread, and I had a chicken caesar salad. No, I didn't mispell Panera, I meant to say Pantera. Kimmy wrote that last line cause she didn't want anyone to think she missed the mispelling. Then we left to go over to movie night. So, here I am typing my day and now I'm done.

Ummm

I don't really have much to blog about tonight, but I need to keep my promise. So, this will probably be a mini post in preparation for the blog challenge. Someone knocked on our front door about ten times tonight. We didn't attempt to answer because we obviously didn't know them since they were at the front door. See I told you I didn't have much to blog. I'm off to finish watching Iron Chef America and sweat while partaking in this activity.

Fire up the grill

Tonight I have mastered another meat on the grill. My friends, the best salmon ever made came off our grill this evening. I don't like to brag, but according to the company present I made an awesome dinner. It all started with a blend of 4 spices then came a wonderful butter sauce to coat, cook and marinade the salmon. I apologize for making any of you hungry, but I just had to say something about my grilling.

Also, something funny has happened a couple times at work this week. On a couple of occasions the guy in the office across the hall from mine has use the page function on our phones thusly.

"Clean up on aisle 5, That's clean up on aisle 5"
or today's
"Clean up at the tampon display. Clean up at the tampon display."

Which is pretty funny when the work day is suddenly interrupted with one of these phrases. There are others, but I might share those later. Off to bed now. I'm pretty sleepy.

My apologies for all mistakes

Kimmy is out at the movies so this will be a raw unedited post. Since she is out it is my job to tape Big Brother, and in the words of Cartman "I can do what I want." I'm not doing much except watching random TV until the baseball all-star game starts. The opening segment to the all-star game is very gay.

Work has been good and I've been learning lots. Now, I'm edumacated past the eighth grade. I don't have much else to share, but I have been keeping my promise to blog every day. I'm off to watch and ponder a quote before I sign off.

Finding the warm pink center of a cow.

Did y'all know it's easy to find the warm pink center of a cow? Let me explain these easy steps to finding the warm center.

Step 1: Drive to an Outback Restaurant
Step 2: Get seated by hostess
Step 3: Order drink (water, because I'm tired of paying $1.89 - $2.89 for a drink)
Step 4: Order Outback Special 11 oz. cooked medium
Step 5: Enjoy side salad and bread
Step 6: Cut into steak on plate presented after the salad

Now one can see, or imagine, the nice shade of pink in the center. Marvelous, is it not? Incase the hint was not obvious, Kimmy and I went to Outback for our anniversary dinner. Dinner was great, as always, and the ice cream we ate while watching King of Queens was the perfect dessert.

Sweet

Congratulations to me! This marks the fiftieth post I've done and it has taken forever. This weekend was nice but busy. I was present at the Salem Library book sale on Saturday with high hopes of finding a great read. Well, I found two The Historian & a Rod Serling biography. The thing that surprised me, as well as making me sad was the lack of science fiction and fantasy.

Now we are watching The Office which is one of my top ten favorite shows. We watched two episodes and they were hilarious. Dwight got locked in the conference room in the first episode and dyed his hair in the next. It's almost bed time so I need to wrap things up, but I'll let you all in on a little secret. I'm going to perform a feat unheard of on my blog. Drum roll please..... I will blog every day this week. (insert applause) "Thank You! Thank You! I'll be here all week." Says I.

P.S. -Shame on all of you for not reprimanding me. There were a couple recent posts that I didn't end with a Star Wars quote.
