The Death Of The Greatest Ornament

Kimmy and I partook of our yearly Saturday after Thanksgiving Christmas tree trimming. Okay, so maybe we don't have to trim it, but don't you all think that prelit trees are the greatest idea. Our now proudly displayed tree is in the sitting room, and the lights look as beautiful as ever. Our evening then progressed into ornament mode, my favorite part of the tree decorating. Each year for Christmas we have a tradition of buying an ornament for each other. The ornaments are then opened on Christmas Eve, and put immediately on the tree.

Well, about three years ago Kimmy had given me the Second Death Star that lit up, authentically I might add, and said the phrase. "As you can see, my young apprentice, your friends have failed. Now witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational battle station! Fire at will, Commander." then the blast that came from the Death Star in Jedi would sound the end. Alas, I have no idea what happened between last Christmas and this year, but the ornament would no longer plug into the light string properly. I decided to cut the wire off, and now just a Death Star hangs no light, no sound. Now my favorite ornament in the whole world is now silenced as if the damn Rebel Alliance got through it's defenses some how. Maybe this means a new Star Wars ornament is in my future.

The randomness that is my head.

Good Saturday morning too every one. I know it's been awhile since I've done this thing called... called... you know, it's been so long I forget what I'm doing. None the less I shall continue to take this journey, and type in this nameless practice. I don't really have a point to this, but I 'm feeling very random this morning.

Emporer Palpatine is the greatest villain EVER! Even though he'll probably never get recognized as such.

Installed the new AutCAD 2006 at work, and had plotting problems for days.

Figured out said AutoCAD problem. AutoCAD is still my, insert female dog reference here.

We were given a nice fleece blanket, or should I say Kimmy was given.

I like having extended cable just for the History channel, and other select channels.

I bought a Duncan Butterfly yo-yo last night.

I should probably clean up the leaves in the yard, but I'm too lazy.

Saviour Machine is one of the most unique bands.

We got some Christmas shopping done last night, and had Sheetz for dinner. Yummy

The whole office staff, even Jason, spent a few hours last Saturday cleaning up the paper monster.

Going to see Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire tonight. SWEET!

Well, that's all the random thoughts for now since I have many things to accomplish before our nephew Derek's B-day party. This party is quite the occasion, because he turns 13 today. In the words of so many people "You turn 13 only once.", but why don't they recognize that every birthday is a once?

Has anyone noticed a pattern yet?

I have some time to post, but excitement here you will not find. (sorry Yoda just took over my keyboard) Well, last night I had my "OH CRAP!" moment while watching Veronica Mars . For those of you that don't know the story behind this wonderful moment here is your opportunity to get into the circle.

One night a few weeks back I kissed my wife before drifting off to sleep. I had been asleep for awhile, but the whole time thing is lost on a sleeping body. "OH CRAP!" was all I heard and in my startled state of mind I was like "Huh? What's going on?" my wife just looked at me and said "What?" Now with completing the show, the phrase was well placed and could be substituted with many other colorful phrases.

I need to stop now or I'm going to miss all of the Monday shows we like. By the way had a great time on Saturday ya'll.
