Two Dogs and Two Cats Make for Quite the Dream

I don't know what was going on in my head last night as I slept. The dreams were kind of strange, and one came out of left field. I know without a doubt that the dream about kids in High School came from the Friday night we had. We watched seven episodes of Veronica Mars! The other was, as stated above, strange and I do mean strange. It all started in my In-Laws back yard, where I was talking with my Mother-in-Law and watching the small dog they have in this dream. During the conversation another dog walked over to visit the small dog. Then all of a sudden a cat showed up on the scene, which my Mother-in-Law was trying to decide whether to keep the cat tied up in the yard of just give it away.

So here we are sitting in the yard with two dogs and a cat, when all of a sudden another cat came over from the neighbor's house. This new cat walked over to the bigger dog and from my point of view it looked like that cat had asked the dog "Are you ready for me to groom you now?" The dog looked up as if to answer "Yes please, I need a good grooming." Then the cat hopped onto the dog's, back unleashed it's claws and started combing the head of the dog.

The dog enjoyed this very much, and after some time the dog stood up, looked at the small dog as if to say "Hey, let's get out of here." I think the little dog liked the idea because he got up to follow the big dog. They started to move but the big dog stopped, lifted his leg and peed on the poor little dog. The small dog stood there for a moment not realizing what was going on, but once the epiphany hit him he ran like the wind. He ran as fast as his little legs could take him, but in the middle of his Speedy Gonzales run he stopped and started to sniff the air. The dog for some ungodly reason liked the smell he discovered and started to pee on himself.

At this point I'm laughing my butt off at the dumb dog that got peed on and is now peeing on himself. The small dog noticed my laughing and thought it needed to come see me. All I can see now is this small dog running and peeing over to see me. I start to freak out and run away from this dumb dog, but alas I was to slow. The dog caught up to me and took aim at my back. By the time it was all over I was wet from my back down to my feet. Needless to say at this point I woke up, and thought where the heck did that come from?

So my advice to all of you don't watch seven episodes of Veronica Mars before bed. You'll enjoy the show, but the dreams will be strange.

I think I've figured out a name for my Mac.

Last night as I was laying in bed talking to Kimmy something popped into my head. As you can tell from my title it is the name for my Mac. So, without further delay I present to you all, the object that all my posts are typed on, Mr. Mackey! Please make him feel welcome.

As pointed out by my brother-in-law, I've somehow become a blog wench. I figured that if he's going to start calling me a wench I'd better post before I get 40 lashes from other blog participants. I know it has been awhile, but I haven't had much to say. I am in the planning stages of a huge Star Wars post to display a fraction of my geekness.

This is my 28th post and I know that's not as good as my wife's 100th, but I think I'm doing pretty good for an overtime working man. There is not too much more that I'd like to say except that I love Gamestop. As said by Kimmy we went to said store last night and purchased Dodgeball , Transporter and Bridget Jones's Diary .

Okay, I'm off now to finish watching Wheel Of Fortune and wait in anticipation for Lost .

Drum Roll Please.........

We would like to announce the COOLEST thing EVER!, and no it's not that. We would be telling most of you in person or on the phone if it was. Since I don't want to start a marital dispute I'll let Kimmy tell you all what it is.

Holy Snikes You Did What!

Well, the title of this post should be my readers reaction to what I have to tell you all. It is now 10:07 a.m. on October the 5th 2005. What praytell am I doing posting at this hour, shouldn't I be at work? I was at work at 7:00 a.m. on October the 4th 2005, isn't it funny how every year has a 10-4 (good buddy), anyway as I was saying. I started work on the 4th at 7:00 a.m. and worked for 26 hours! Please insert reaction here.

That's all I have to say other than I'm tired and hungry. I've tried to fall asleep, but it hasn't worked yet so maybe some food in my tummy will make me sleepy.

Wow!

As most of my loyal readers know I normally don't post sports, but today was quite an event. I have always been a faithful Cincinnati Bengals fan. They have had a losing season for the past decade or so, but this season they are 4-0 a feat not achieved since 1988. I don't want to jinx them, but they look impressive. If they keep playing the way they have been they could be going to the playoffs.

Well, that's all for now because it's time for brownies and coffee.

The Black Album

This week I have concluded that Metallica's self titled album (a.k.a. the black album) is one of the best metal albums ever.

Boy, did I start out random. Okay, now onto the real reason for posting. I have a little beef with something I read, and no I'm not eating steak. In some reviews about the beloved Serenity there has been some comparison to, which I knew would happen, Star Wars. Sure there in the same genre, but COME ON! (thank you Gob for your input) there are major differences.

1. Star Wars is like a fairy tale of sorts.

2. Serenity is a more realistic story.

There are many other points I could make for quite a long post, but I don't want to bore you all. The two films are on different roads of the sci-fi genre. Serenity is futuristic, where Star Wars takes place A long time ago in a galaxy far far away. Also both have great story lines, which I know all will not agree with me but I'm okay with that.

I guess all I'm trying to say is people need to quit comparing things that are the same on the outside but differ on the inside. I can't look at the house across the street and say "Well, our houses are the same." At first glance they are the same, walls, roof, doors etc. but the content is what makes all the difference.

Star Wars & Serenity are both excellent films of the same genre, but the content is completely different. If anybody tells you different don't be fooled it's just the sith trying to mislead you.
